The Church of God (Anderson) is a global movement of people seeking to fulfill God’s mission in the world.

The Gathering is made up of a wide range of people. We have babies a couple months old, college students, single adults, married couples, a few precious treasures who are in their 80s & 90s, and everyone else in-between. People come from a lot of different backgrounds. Some people have been in church their whole lives. Others are just coming back to church after giving up. And some are finding community for the first time. You could see people you recognize from work, from community organizations, or from passing in the gas station. We want our church to look more like Heaven, so you are welcome here.

Most people come in and grab a cup of coffee and spend time meeting new people or reconnecting. Worship usually begins with 3 songs. Then our pastor, or someone on our teaching team, share scripture and how we can make sense of these ancient words for our present lives. We also receive an offering sometime during worship.

We usually celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month. This is not on a set schedule, but you can tell if we are celebrating because the bread and cup will be out. We have what is called “open communion.” If you are a Christian, confess Jesus Christ, you are encouraged to participate. No membership or class is required.

We meet in a converted warehouse that we affectionately call “The Warehouse.” It’s a modern space with an inviting atmosphere. Across the parking lot is our Kids building. A lot of people say they love our space because it doesn’t look like a church (no steeple, foyer, pews, etc.). We understand this space may be unusual for you if you are used to pews and a pulpit. Come check it out.

Stephanie Niemoelher as a deep love for the Triune God & is committed to fostering the same in others. She comes from a family of pastors and she received her call to ministry at 19 years old. Stephanie is an ordained Church of God Minister & has a BS from Mid-America University & a Masters of Divinity from Anderson University School of Theology.

Stephanie recently got married to the love of her life, Steve. Her dog, who is also the love of her life, is named after George Bailey from It’s a Wonderful Life. Stephanie is a diehard football fan & The Tennessee Volunteers are making her whole life this season. In her free time you can find her cooking, baking, or watching hallmark.
